Arrival Requirements
Procedures:
An import permit will be issued by the Veterinary Services at least ten (10) days prior to departure, once the Veterinary Services have received the following:
Post-Arrival Requirements
A thirty (30) day home confinement is required

- Pet must have an ISO compliant microchip such as AVID®, Home Again or ResQ.
- Two (2) laboratory reports with Titer results > or = 0.5 I.U./ml from the Rabies Laboratory at Kansas State University OR The Department of Pathology at Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine. Acceptable test types: FAVN or RFFIT Note: If the animal has previously been in St. Kitts and Nevis and has been out of the country less than one year, only 1 titer is required for re-entry.
- A health certificate from an accredited Veterinarian from the exporting country within three (3) days of arrival into St. Kitts
- The St. Kitts-Nevis Import Permit.
- The standard government fee of $65US for the airport check (will be collected upon arrival)
Procedures:
An import permit will be issued by the Veterinary Services at least ten (10) days prior to departure, once the Veterinary Services have received the following:
- Re-entry application to import animal
- Current titer information
- Check payable to Account General for $20.00 EC
- Re-entry arrival date and flight information
Post-Arrival Requirements
A thirty (30) day home confinement is required
- Dogs must be kept on approved premises, completely fenced and secured
- Cats must be kept indoors at all times and all windows and doors must be screened
- Dogs and cats, after inspection at port of entry, must not be removed from carrier until arrival at place of confinement
- Dogs and cats must not come into contact with any other animal during confinement period
- Dogs and cats must not be removed from the premises without permission of the Veterinary Authority. Permission will be granted for veterinary emergencies.
- Quarantine violations will result in deportation of your pet
